The Slovakia flag was formally approved on September 1, 1992. Slovakia flag has Red, white and blue are outdated Pan-Slavic colors. The centered Slovakian arms feature a leading white cross atop a blue representation reference to the nation’s mountains.

History of Slovakia Flag

The present design of Slovakia's flag is being continuing since 1948. During the World War II, the flag was used partially in Czechoslovakia and by the Slovak Republic. In 1990, the design of the flag was modified and by creating a new coat of arms. In the modified design, the designers increased size of cross to its three times to emphasize it as a national symbol. In addition, to the state coat of arms and the national flag, the duo also planned a new presidential typical, which includes the double cross as well.

The new flag was lastly accepted on 1 March 1990 as the flag of the Slovak Republic within Czechoslovakia. The coat of arms was supplemented on 3 September 1992 and a singular law recitation the particulars of the flag trailed in February 1993.
